ImageA Father's Steps to a Blended Family That Really Works
a book with music CD

What do we take from our time here with each other, with our children, our loved ones? What is important for the lives we live with the families we're born into, find ourselves in and the ones we choose?

We learn, if we're paying attention, that we're all in this together. There's no way to NOT be. That while it is good to receive, it is better to give. That giving IS receiving.

We learn that we all want the same things: to love and be loved, to feel safe. We seek pleasure and avoid pain. We want to know that someone cares about what happens to us. We want to be happy. We need to find fulfillment. We want the magic thing... understanding from another human being.

We want all this, in the end, so we can feel connected. We want to feel the connection with our children, our lovers, our parents, our friends, our co-workers, our country, our world and our god.

There really are no rules for this to happen, there are only ideas and stories that are good ways for us to remember that this is already happening.

We've just forgotten.

About the Artfuls

The odyssey of Bill Quateman continues to be unique and captivating. A native of Chicago, from the age of 14 he played a variety of music around town until, in the 70’s, he began singing and playing in Windy City clubs and coffeehouses.

Shortly thereafter, Quateman was signed to Columbia Records, by legendary music impresario Clive Davis. There, he began building a devoted fan base following the release of his debut album, “Bill Quateman," which led to critical acclaim, national tours and three albums for RCA.

A devoted father of three, Bill has been raising his family in the Los Angeles area. A prolific writer, Quateman has created several multi-media projects, including a children’s movie musical, that center on the important and basic human issues of courage, truth, generosity, mercy and love.
ImageHis 1st book for Angel Mind, a collaboration with his daughter India while she was 3-6 years old, is a book that tells stories of how blended or stepfamilies now the most prevalent and popular form of family, can live harmoniously and lovingly.

His entire music catalogue including his self-titled 1st album, "Bill Quateman," and the previously unreleased "The Almost Eve of Everything" is now available on CD via his online music company, BillQuateman.com. Bill is currently recording a new CD.

He also maintains a humanitarian benefit effort, 4All of Us. Portions of the profits from all of Mr. Quateman’s projects are for raising awareness and funding for the International Campaign for Tibet and for the EduCare Foundation, a non-profit organization teaching heart-centered awareness to children ages 6-18.
Bill Quateman is Executive Producer for HM2~us Health Molecular Sciences, Inc., a social corporate enterprise that has developed a biomimetic compound which is proven to reverse AIDS.

ImageIndia Rain Quateman, now 13, began drawing and singing, at the age of 2. Her talents have been blossoming and she made her stage debut in Chicago in 2002, singing with her father.

India lives half the time with her dad, brother and and two cats and the other half with her mom and  baby sister. She is a 7th grader at

Highland Hall Waldorf School. India continues to draw and sing, cartwheel and dance with serious whimsy and heartfelt abandon.
